- The crankshaft and/or pistons may overheat and sustain damage
- The engine could stall unexpectedly
- In severe cases, a hole could form in the engine casing
If oil leaks from the damaged casing onto the exhaust pipe, there is a risk of a fire breaking out in the engine compartment, potentially leading to the vehicle catching fire.
